“Crime, Punishment, & Abolition”

ALL ARE WELCOME! You BELONG at Beacon – Spiritually open and intentionally inclusive since 1958.

Unitarian Universalism has a long history of concern about our systems of policing, justice, and punishment. These concerns are complex and deep — what should justice look like? Come learn about that history and our commitments, and about the work that is being done right now among congregations, leading towards a new, official statement on these issues (in about a year).  We’ll also be welcoming new members!  With Rev. Patrick McLaughlin preaching, Worship Associate Nancy Paxton, and music by the Beacon Choir under the direction of Michael Minear with accompaniment by Eli Diemert.
