“The Gift of Renewal” with Rev. Anthony Mtuaswa Johnson

ALL ARE WELCOME!  You BELONG at Beacon – Spiritually open and intentionally inclusive since 1958.

Our June 9th worship service welcomes our guest preacher, Reverend Anthony Mtuaswa Johnson on ”The Gift of Renewal,” affording us an opportunity to ask ourselves: What if “time away” isn’t about restoring yourself to return to work, but rather making space to decide if it’s time to re-imagine what your “true work” really is? Is it time to renew your responsibility to those who will come after you? Is it time to renew your commitment to carry on the work of those who came before?

Rev. Anthony Mtuaswa Johnson, Mississippi-born and Chicago-bred, is an Ordained Unitarian Universalist Minister, speaker, writer, poet, producer, soldier, teacher, mentor and Elder. He is the Minister at the Sedona UU Fellowship. Previously he was the Minister of the Humboldt UU Fellowship in Bayside, California and former Director of Congregational Life at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix, Arizona. Rev. Anthony is a Spiritual Counselor, offering Personal Divination Sessions based upon African Indigenous Technology. He holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Starr King School for The Ministry, and a Master of Arts Degree in Communications Science. His Ministry is dedicated to “Removing Unconscious Bias from the Soil of the Soul.”
