The Building and Grounds Committee, better known as B&G, meets only a few times a year to coincide with a B&G work day.  The B&G’s mission is to coordinate the maintenance of and the improvements to the Beacon facilities, building, and grounds.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Flagstaff constructed its hall in 1981 and paid off the mortgage in 1990.  It was later expanded in 1994 to its current structure and in 2011 renamed “Beacon.”

Maintenance of the building and grounds requires volunteer commitments from members and friends. Frequent clean up, painting, gardening, and repair projects are scheduled, and members and friends are asked to donate their time and skills. The committee is open to anyone with or having interest in developing home maintenance and gardening skills.

If you are interested in donating your time and talents to support our Beacon home, contact the B&G chair.
