I regretfully update this blog to let you know that an executive decision has been made to not have Chalice camp this year due to the construction and ongoing insurance concerns.    

I extend my apologies for any inconvenience or frustration that this may bring to your family and childcare plans.

Monday June 10: 9am – 4pm

Tuesday June 11: 9am – 4pm

Wednesday June 12: 9am – 4pm, pick up at Jim Cullen Park, or, bring a picnic and stay for the concert at 5:30!

Thursday June 13: 9am – 4pm

Friday June 14:  9am – 4pm, parent showcase and slideshow at 4:00.

 

Cost is $35 per child per day (price includes T shirt!)

Before and after care is available for additional fee.

Sibling discount: additional children are $25/child/day

Returning camper discount: one day free if registered before June 1.

We need 10 campers to make Chalice Camp run.

I will make a decision if we need to cancel or not on June 3.

*Camp is open to children entering Kindergarten – grade six (ages 5-11)

*Kids over age 11 can participate as helpers. Please inquire for details.

*Kids under age 5 can participate if their parents stay with them

*Please bring your own water bottle, lunch, hat, athletic shoes, and sunscreen.  Morning and afternoon healthy snacks will be provided!

 

Our theme this summer is Love Connects Us

 

Love Connects Us celebrates important ways Unitarian Universalists live our faith in covenanted community. Moved by love and gathered in spirit, we embrace our responsibility toward one another and the world at large. We encourage one another’s search for truth and meaning. We strive to be active in peace-making and other efforts to improve our world.

 

Daily Schedule:

9:00: arrive, check in, sign up for daily tasks

9:15: gather, covenant, joys & concerns, announcements

9:30: morning activity (story, craft, and game)

10:45: snack

11:00: group activity

12:00: lunch/quilt

1:15: leave for field trip

June 10: Bus/walk downtown and on NAU campus for the     Peace Pole walking tour and geocaching

June 11: Walk to Riparian environment at the Museum of Northern AZ  for peaceful journaling and painting.

June 12: Walk to Hunt for the Truth near Francis Short Pond and Thorpe Park. We will end at the Tree Park (Jim Cullen memorial park) today.  Please pick up there, or, bring a picnic and stay for the concert that starts at 5:30!

June 13: Walk to Colton Garden for Service project

June 14: Movie, Inside Out

3:45: return to Amy’s House

4:00: pick up
