~ From the Ministers Desk ~
Happy Holidays, from all your Beacon Staff and Minister.
For those who celebrate the Winter Solstice – Blessed Be today the shortest daylight of the year!
We wish everyone a safe and joyous Christmas Holiday with family, loved one, friends and neighbors. With whomever and however you recognize and celebrate the Christmas Holiday or even if you do not we recognize this special time of the year, the turning from the darkest days to the returning of the light. May we all be reminded of the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part, one of our core UU principles and perhaps one we all need to cherish and support in these trying times presently in our country.
Remember this coming Sunday we will offer both our regular morning service at 10:00 am, this will be an intergenerational service, children and youth will stay in service. We will have Carols and Readings by gift box opening, the service will have the element of excitement and surprise. Additionally we will have our traditional Christmas Eve service at 6:00pm again this year at the Coconino Center for the Arts. We will have special music and readings, and our annual candlelight Silent Night closing ritual.
Grateful to be on the journey with you,
Rev. Kevin
