Welcome to the Religious Exploration @ Beacon!

I come to you with twenty one years of teaching experience.  I have an M. Ed. and am a certified Waldorf teacher.  I am currently working on a PhD in Leadership and Change at Antioch University.

I choose to lead:

  • with a style that is an amalgamation of three preferred theories, Servant leadership, Collaborative leadership, and Adaptive leadership.
  • through change in a supportive, impactful, interconnected, and innovative way that encourages self-discovery and building trust within the group.
  • for the promotion and implementation of innovative faith formation opportunities that are attainable, meaningful, and sustainable.

I have lived in Flagstaff for 19 years with a few short hiatuses.  I love this community and plan to stay here for a while! I have a husband, Hunter, two teenagers, Mollybeth (16) and Micah (14), a quirky but sweet dog, Guinness, and two cats Priya and Avadhana.

In my free time I enjoy yoga, hiking, geocaching, baking, and gardening. I try to make music, movement, and art a part of every day.

As a learner, parent, mentor, and/or friend, I am here to support you on your journey. I realize that life is busy and many of us are overwhelmed. Do you have any ideas how RE at Beacon could make life more manageable for you? Please do not hesitate to let me know what your needs are and how you would best feel supported! I look forward to discovering how we can achieve radical changes in faith formation together!
